Last Friday (December 2, 2022), the English department of NSL junior high school organized “NSL English Speaking Contest” finale for the first time after two years of Covid 19 pandemic and two years of construction.
This is an activity in which students can promote self-confidence and develop their interest in learning English. The contest offers students a chance to show their linguistic and intellectual competence through their presentations and answers to the judges' questions. In addition to expressing their self-confidence and abilities, students can learn from others' experience, build new relationships and know how to behave appropriately.
Students are divided into pairs, given a topic, and then each one prepares and delivers a speech with a PowerPoint presentation. The judges will ask some questions and the students have to give the most persuasive answers.
